Looks like Winnie Girl and I are soon to be outnumbered…

She’s been retelling the tale of dancing and carriages and horses all week. 

At least he has a sense of humor about my milestone “encouragement.”

A little last minute playtime before hitting the books. Good thing her classroom doesn’t have desks. 

Next year, we anticipate change. Notably, the addition of another baby as the trees begin to leaf out in the first days of spring. 

The babies have spent the last seven days in a tearful quarantine. Hand, foot, and mouth disease brought our house to a stand-still. Today, we began to see some resolution so we ventured out to the wildlife refuge for a sunny, Sunday cure-all of marshes and sea.

“Sustain him, O Lord, in your Holy Spirit. Give him an inquiring and discerning heart, the courage to will and to persevere, a spirit to know and love you, and the gift of joy and wonder in all your works. Amen.”

They have escaped the summer storms each week Marie has decided to teach preschoolers in the woods. Except for the last few days. The kids didn’t seem to mind the puddles and mud. Particularly the smallest camper.
