Last night, I was watching doppler radar for tornadoes. With such a clear, sunny start to the new day (and a skipped morning nap) we headed to the beach earlier than usual. I crammed the Early Rider and helmet under the double stroller, and Winnie practiced cruising the boardwalk on two wheels.

She has shifted from solely mentioning her personal needs to asking Harry and I about ourselves. Throughout the day, Winnie Girl approaches us with ” ‘a doing Mommy,” and ” ‘a the matter Harry?”

I took them to the Agriculture Fair to pet livestock, hear live music, and taste a dripping ice cream cone. What delighted them most was pretending to pilot the abandoned helicopter ride found beyond the “Additional Parking” sign.

She keeps a running tally of her favorites. I am updated daily. Currently, rainbows, butterflies, and rabbits are top contenders.
